A platform of this scope is a form at a new scale — larger than any individual work, more durable than any single session, requiring maintenance in the way that conditional marks require maintenance: it persists only through continued commitment. In this sense it is closer to the Uffington White Horse than to anything in the studio. A form that requires the active decision, repeatedly made, to continue.
